The Cumberland Times News reports two teens were killed Sunday in a vehicle crash on Fisher Road in Hardy County. West Virginia State Police said that Ernest W. Berg, 18, of Petersburg, and Hannah Marie Weatherholt, 18, of Fisher, were pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:35 p.m. accident. Senior Trooper B.W. Thorn reported that Berg was driving a Chevrolet Corvette east on Fisher Road when he lost control and entered the westbound lane, colliding with a Buick LaCrosse operated by Bette Weatherholt, 80, of Fisher. Bette Weatherholt was the grandmother of Hannah Weatherholt, according to obituary information from the Fraley Funeral Home website. Bette Weatherholt and passenger Otis Weatherholt, 78, were transported to Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg where they were listed in stable condition Tuesday. The accident remains under investigation and police said speed and wet roadway conditions factored into the accident.
