WV jobless rate drops to single digits

The unemployment rate in West Virginia fell out of the double digits in July according to the latest report from WorkForce West Virginia. The organization on Tuesday announced the seasonally adjusted rate decreased to 9.9% last month. The non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate declined from 10.4% in June to 9.7%.  WorkForce West Virginia also noted the amount of unemployed West Virginians decreased by 4,600 to 75,400 people last month. The number of unemployed residents is up by 37,000 over one year.
