One of the local stories of the year has been the decision of the Western Maryland Health System to pursue an affiliation with UPMC Healthcare, headquartered in Pittsburgh. Kate Donaghy is the Director of Community Relations for WMHS, and says there may be a name change of the local hospital in the not too distant future…

A name change will not disguise the well known mistakes and poor service of this local “hospital”. That is why MANY people, including myself, are opting to go to Ruby Memorial, Garrett Regional, Potomac Valley, Mercy, St. Agnes, and more.
