The Cumberland Times News reports a Westernport man remained jailed Monday following his arrest by Keyser Police on a warrant charging him with an alleged violation of probation. Charles Edward Davis III, 29, was arrested at about 9:15 p.m. Saturday after he reportedly attempted to enter a Hughes Street residence through a rear door.
Keyser Police found Davis walking from the residence before he was interviewed and placed under arrest.
Davis was charged with public intoxication. A records check revealed Davis was wanted on an arrest warrant stemming from a conviction in Mineral County in October 2014, police said. The warrant charged Davis with violation of probation.
Davis remained jailed Monday at the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail in Augusta, pending his next court appearance.
