Frostburg State University will host the annual Western Maryland STEM Festival on Saturday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cordts Physical Education Center Main Arena.
The festival aims to stimulate student’s interest in science, technology, engineering and math in a series of fun and educational activities. Activities include a ping-pong ball volcano, Scales and Tales, 3D printing, snake-jaw crafts, health testing, homemade lava lamps, fun with dry ice, on- and offline coding, robotics, make your own paint, honeybees and virtual reality experiences.
This event is free and open to K-12 students in public or private schools or who are homeschooled and their parents. There is no preregistration required.
