Beginning next month, the Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority will be under new leadership for the first time in five years. Authority chair Andy Vick presided over his final meeting this week- having announced last month that he would be re-signing from the board at years end to pursue other opportunities in Colorado. It's been a sometimes frustrating, but he says often times rewarding tenure- having failed to find a developer for the Footer Dye Works building, but moving forward in many other areas. During his final meeting, Vick thanked the board, staff and the man who will become interim chair- Rick Thayer for their assistance.
