The City of Cumberland Engineering Department has announced as of today, for approximately 3 weeks, Valley RD will be closed to traffic from Fairview Avenue to Forest Avenue. This closure will allow the City's contractor Carl Belt, Inc and its subcontractor S&S Electric to install steel beams and cribbing to support the roadside. There will be a detour in place for all traffic during the closure. The detour will be Henderson Ave to Frederick Street to Pea Vine Road.
