During a recent discussion on whether or not to have another study commissioned on economic development, Allegany County Commissioner Bill Valentine said that the county’s focus needs to be on developing a well trained work force. According to Valentine, a job-ready work force is severely lacking in the area. At a recent job fair, Valentine reported that 27 of 53 participants left after they were told a drug test would be part of the application process. Of the 26 that remained, 17 came up with a dirty urinalysis, leaving only 9 qualified applicants…
