7:00 PM UPDATE:

One lane of the Interstate has been opened to traffic.  In addition, Maryland Route 144, which runs near 68, has been reopened to traffic.

INITIAL REPORT:

Allegany County 911 has advised that Eastbound Interstate 68 has been shut down east of the Willowbrook Road ramp due to a truck fire.

That limitation will not affect access to Western Maryland Health System.

Police, Fire and EMS were called to the scene at around 6:30 PM.
