Beall Elementary School has been selected the only school in the State of Maryland to be recognized as a National Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Distinguished School by the National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators for providing superior, federally funded school programs. Beall is being honored based on the success of their educational programs and progress made by its students.
Schools selected for this prestigious award demonstrate a wide array of strengths, including team approaches to teaching and learning, focused professional development opportunities for staff, individualized programs for student success, and strong partnerships between the school, parents, and the community. National ESEA Distinguished Schools boast documented student achievement gains that have resulted from collaborative and targeted efforts and innovations.
“I am honored to receive this award acknowledging the dedicated efforts of our staff and students,” said Beall Principal, Mr. Robert Stevenson. “At Beall Elementary, we believe in our students by empowering them to succeed every day, and to foster a love of lifelong learning.”
A ceremony to recognize these 2020 National ESEA Distinguished Schools will take place at the annual conference in February in Atlanta, GA.
