On Monday night at approximately 9:20 p.m., troopers from the Cumberland Barrack responded to I-68 westbound for a motor vehicle accident involving two tractor trailers. The investigation revealed that one of the trucks was broke down on I-68 with signal markers displayed. The second truck operated by Eric Justice, WV, was traveling westbound on I-68 and struck the disabled vehicle. The vehicles were hauling Dog Food and Light Bulbs which littered the interstate. State Highway Administration responded to clean the debris and both vehicles were towed from the scene. The westbound lanes was shut down for several hours and traffic was detoured to the shoulder after the shoulder was cleared. Citations were issued to the at fault driver. No life threatening injuries were reported. All lane are open at this time.
