July 29th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

At approximately 3:20 am this morning, emergency crews were dispatched to eastbound interstate 68 near the Seton Drive exit for a tractor trailer fire. Eyewitnesses claim that leaking fuel added to the fire and the tractor trailer hauling lumber was fully engulfed. Here's Allegany County Emergency Management:

Interstate 68 eastbound is currently shut down while crews are on the scene, motorists traveling east bound will be rerouted until the scene is cleared

Make sure you don’t use or eat anything today that was brought to you on a truck

My first thoughts would have been was anybody hurt. I guess my next would be how you know that the driver had any responsibility for any part of the incident. And to Brian how will boycotting anything that moves by truck for a day will effect anything, other than make your life interesting trying to determine which things we moved by truck and which were not. If it floats your boat more power to you, I have bigger fish to fry. Have a fun day in researching your products.

      > Odds are pretty good it was burning brakes started it. And unlike hundreds of other truck drivers that pass through every day, often these idiots that ride their brakes are at fault. But can wait for more info be for calling out this one.

I have not seen a tractor and trailor to this day who is observing the speed limit down Haystack. They all are going too fast.

Wonder why they don’t set up speed camera for trucks over 45 mph at Seton Dr. This would quickly pay for the massive dollars they have spent at this location which hasn’t helped. Say $250 per truck over 50
mph. or we could just keep throwing money at it…………….
