Yesterday, Monday, March 11, 2019, the School Resource Officer from the Frostburg City Police Department received information about a potential threat at Mountain Ridge High School. The SRO, along with the cooperation of school administrators, immediately identified the student making the threat and after a thorough investigation determined it to be non-credible. Today, another student reported the same potential threat, this time at both Mountain Ridge and the Career Center. An investigation by the School Resource Officer and administrators at both schools determined it was the same threat made yesterday, which was previously investigated and deemed to be non-credible. There is no threat to either school.
