Dr. David Cox, Superintendent of Schools, met for the first time this school year with his Student Advisory Committee. The group meets four times a year and discusses a variety of topics brought forth by student representatives from middle and high schools who serve on the Allegany County Association of Student Councils (ACASC). At this first meeting, members discussed a student engagement survey, school safety and bullying, drugs and stress, foreign languages, and graduation dress code guidelines. ACASC is under the direction of Kara Kennell, ACPS Service-Learning Coordinator.
