Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Office of the Secretary and representatives from MDOT’s business units will visit Allegany County to discuss transportation investments. Representatives include:
The Secretary’s Office: Deputy Transportation Secretary Jim Ports;
State Highway Administration: Deputy Administrator Greg Slater and District Engineer Tony Crawford;
Maryland Transit Administration: Local Transit Support Deputy Director Jeannie Fazio; and
Motor Vehicle Administration: Administrator Chrissy Nizer and Regional Manager Rhashad Johnson.
WHAT:
Seventh stop in MDOT’s annual tour of 23 Maryland counties and Baltimore City to update local officials and the public on the Hogan Administration’s $14.4 billion six-year capital transportation investment program. Deputy Secretary Ports will outline the Draft FY 2017 – FY 2022 Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP), which details MDOT’s six-year capital budget. Officials also will be available to answer questions about potential impacts on counties due to Chapter 36, the new law that will require the scoring and ranking of major construction projects before they are added to the CTP next year.
