State Labor Officials Increase Capacity To Process Unemployment Claims

May 21st, 2020 by WCBC Radio

WBAL reports more than 51,000 Marylanders filed for unemployment last week, and the state labor secretary says she's taking steps to fix the backlog.  We feel the frustration and the desperation from some of our claimants who are caught in the process. I don’t think anyone is absorbing that more than I am and my team is. We’ll continue to push ourselves to the limits, staff up and create solutions until we serve every single Marylander,” Maryland Labor Secretary Tiffany Robinson told C4 on Thursday.

Robinson says her department has extended hours from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, added automated systems and has more employees to help the hundreds of thousands of people trying to get unemployment

And by many accounts thousands can’t get through, get any answers, nothing. I know some that haven’t heard a word since filing in almost 2 months now. Like most other states they are more than happy to collect unemployment funds but try every trick to keep from parting with them. A page out of health insurance playbook. And the sheeple put up with this crap.
