Driving under the influence checkpoints will be conducted throughout March in nearby Somerset County, according to Pennsylvania State Police. As part of the Troop A Impaired Driving Enforcement Initiative, troopers from the Somerset barrack will conduct the checkpoints to monitor traffic for violations of the vehicle code relating to offenses involving driving after imbibing and relating offenses. Motorists entering checkpoints are reminded to have their driver's license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance for their vehicle immediately available to avoid delays.
