The Maryland State Police report that the snow emergency plan for Washington County has been lifted as of 1:15. Conditions on state designated Snow Emergency Routes have greatly improved and most major routes are clear. However, this does not mean that all roads are completely clear of snow or ice. County and municipal roads that are not part of the state Snow Emergency Plan system may still be snow or ice covered. Even some state maintained routes may have slippery areas. Continue to drive cautiously, and be especially careful at exit ramps, intersections, and bridges.
