Small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can now get financial assistance via low-interest federal disaster loans. That announcement from Maryland Governor Larry Hogan. Maryland received official designation from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for its Economic Injury Disaster Loan program. The loans will help businesses to pay bills, payroll and other payments while mandatory closures are in effect to prevent spreading the novel coronavirus. Locally, the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation is assisting businesses by way of education- providing information and key links and connections to where the best, most up to date information is available.
