Shotgun stolen from FSU student’s vehicle

The Cumberland Times News reports a  12-gauge shotgun was reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle of a Frostburg State University student who was preparing to travel home for the Thanksgiving holiday, according to the Frostburg Police Department. The firearm was stolen sometime between 11 p.m. Thursday and 12:45 a.m. Friday while the student had exited the vehicle to enter a nearby apartment to say goodbye to friends. Various other items were also taken during the incident that occurred while the victim's vehicle was parked in a parking lot on Bobcat Court near the FSU campus. The victim had packed numerous items for his return home before the theft occurred. 

Police said the victim was unable to provide specific information on the make and model of the shotgun or its serial number.
