The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration will host two public workshops to share results of its U.S. 219 planning and environment study.
The study identified a standalone project that could be built in Maryland east of U.S. 219 between Interstate 68 and Old Salisbury Road in Garrett County.
The sessions will be held Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Grantsville Elementary School and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grantsville Senior Center.
Both sessions will have the same format and content and will update the public on the project’s status and engineering design. Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss project details and provide comment.
Maps and displays will provide an overview of the proposed improvements and SHA representatives will be available to answer project-related questions. There will be no formal presentation.
