One of the first controversies that developed when the newly elected Allegany County Board of Education took office in January centered on the boards legal counsel. At the first session of the new year, board members Robert Farrell, David Bohn and Wayne Foote took action- and by a 3-2 vote ousted longtime board attorney Gary Hanna- replacing him with Mike Llewellyn representing Geppert, McMullen Paye and Getty. With Dr Ed Root appointed to replace Foote who was removed for misconduct- some significant changes could be coming and a review of the board’s legal services is on the agenda of Tuesday’s meeting. Board member Tammy Fraley, who along with member Deb Frank, often found herself on the short end of 3-2 votes this year, tells WCBC News said she is looking forward to a more stable situation with an emphasis on cooperation…
