Even though the Frostburg end of the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad excursions won’t be returning until late next spring at the earlier- officials with the tourist train say thus far it has not hampered business. It was announced on Wednesday that the trip to Frostburg will be suspended til next spring as a result of issues surrounding a landslide that occurred along the route in February. John Garner, railroad superintendent, had hoped the problem was corrected by Aug. 1, but issues with subterranean support have complicated the repair project.
