The local Salvation Army is seeking Community Development Block Grant funds from the city of Cumberland to help tackle a number of challenges. Lt Jim Dillingham addressed the Mayor and City Council this week as a number of other non-profit groups did making a case for financial assistance. Dillingham said that a primary concern at this time is work necessary for the facility at 701 East First Street which houses the After-School program and Community Outreach.
