Allegany County officials hope to find some answers to the growing cost of emergency medical services. Finance Director Jason Bennett said the county spent $2.8 million on EMS last year- after having allocated just $600,000 the prior year. The reason for the spike was the county's need to take over the struggling Frostburg EMS operation.
