With the resignation of former Ridgeley police chief Jake Ryan, the town is planning to advertise for a West Virginian certified officer to be considered for the chief’s position. Mayor Mark Jones noted that the hiring process has been reviewed and applicants in consideration now will be subject to psychological testing, a polygraph, background check and physical.
