Under Governor Larry Hogan’s plan, state highway user revenues would have been coming back to Western Maryland this year to go toward local road and bridge projects- however those efforts failed in the final days of the General Assembly Session. In the governor’s budget as presented in January were funds totaling $1.49 million dollars for Allegany County and its municipalities and $866,000 for Garrett County and its municipalities.
