It appears as though momentum to legalize recreational cannibas in Maryland has stalled somewhat- at least for this year. Maryland lawmakers have formed a bipartisan group to study the possibility of legalizing recreational marijuana in 2020 via legislation or referendum. The working group’s formation indicates that legalization legislation introduced earlier this month isn’t likely to pass this year. Governor Larry Hogan said given the less than smooth roll out of the medical marijuana program in the state- holding off on recreational legislation seems prudent- and he doesn’t see any bill getting approved in the next few weeks…
