Maryland House Speaker Michael Busch joined leaders of the state's largest teacher's union, at a rally this week calling for Governor Larry Hogan not to cut $143-million in school aid, that goes mainly to Baltimore City and other large school systems. Busch and Senate President Mike Miller want to restore the money. The Hogan Administration says the budget actually cuts the increase in school funding, and the reductions are needed to balance the budget.
