The Maryland Department of the Environment has scheduled a public discussion on the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Act Plan at Frostburg State University. The goal of the meeting is to update the public on the state’s progress on addressing climate change and to collect public comments on the state’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan that will be up for renewal in 2016. In 2009 Maryland’s General Assembly charged the State with developing a Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan (referred to as the Plan) that will reduce greenhouse gases 25 percent by the year 2020.
