The Allegany County Board of Education this week officially began the process to transfer the former Allegany High School property to the county- but there may be a hitch. In the action approved by the board- an exception is included calling for the property at 616 Sedgewick Street to be subdivided- with the school board planning to retain ownership of the two athletic fields adjacent to the school.
