The latest from Gonzales Research shows that while President Donald Trump's approval rate remains low in Maryland at 42%, that number is up 5 points from the poll conducted earlier in the year. More than half of Maryland voters disapprove of the job Trump is doing, with the remaining 3% giving no response. Asked to rate Trump's handling of the economy, 52% said they disapproved, while 45% voiced approval. While most of the state gives poor marks to the president- in Western Maryland Trump’s approval rating and handling of the economy scores a 63.8% approval rating. Pollster Patrick Gonzales tells WBAL Radio that given the state’s 2-1 Democrat balance in terms of registered voters- it’s not surprising that most of those polled have trouble crediting him for the strong economy…
