On Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Michelle Ann Logsdon. The warrant was issued by District Court because of an incident back on October 17th, 2019 at a Maryland Avenue residence. On that date, Logsdon arrived at the Maryland Avenue residence, intoxicated and carrying a baseball bat and police responded. When officers arrived, they learned from a female victim that Logsdon attempted to strike her with the bat and during that altercation, the victim’s dog was struck with the bat by Logsdon. She was charged with assault, dangerous weapon with intent to injure, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, attempted 2nd degree escape, fail to obey a lawful order, intoxicated public disturbance, and animal cruelty. She was taken to the District Court Commissioner and was released on her own personal recognizance pending trial.
