Arrest Warrant Served
On September 28, 2015 Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Kerry Davon Langston, age 39 of Cumberland, Maryland. On September 25, 2015 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Fort Cumberland Homes for a reported disturbance. When officers arrived they were directed toward building #7 for two unidentified males who were fighting. Officers were able to locate the victim and a witness to the assault. During an investigation into the matter, officers learned that Kerry Langston had arrived at apartment 2D and began assaulting the male victim on the sidewalk. According to the victim and the witness, Langston approached the victim from behind, grabbed him and began striking him in the face with a closed fist. The victim was able to break free from Langston and fled toward building #7. Langston chased after the victim and continued to assault him near building #7. During the second altercation, Langston pulled a knife from his pocket and attempted to stab the victim. Langston later fled the area in a vehicle and was not located on the date of this incident. The victim had visible injuries that included bruises around his neck and a small contusion to his upper lip. As a result of this incident, charges were applied for at District Court. Langston was served with the warrant and taken before the District Court Commissioner. Langston was late released on his own personal recognizance.

Charges: 2 Counts of 1st Degree Assault, 2 Counts of 2nd Degree Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the Peace, Dangerous weapon intent to injure, Failure to obey and Affray.
