September 25th, 2014 Trespassing
On 09/25/14 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in reference to a disorderly subject. Upon arrival Officers contacted the subject and ordered him to leave and not return at the facilities request. The subject left at that time without incident. A short time later Officers were again dispatched back to the area in reference to the subject returning and creating a disturbance. Officers contacted 27 year old George Farmer of Ellicott City and placed him under arrest. Farmer was transported to the Cumberland Police Department for processing and was issued a Maryland Criminal Citation for trespassing and released pending trial in District Court.
September 25th, 2014 Tampering with motor vehicle
On 09/25/14 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the 400blk of Race St in reference to a tampering with a motor vehicle complaint. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who stated that sometime overnight person(s) unknown attempted to gain entry into her vehicle. Officers observed damage to the passenger side window of the vehicle. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. September 25th, 2014 Criminal Summons Served
On 09/25/14 the Cumberland Police Dept served a criminal summons on Christopher Johnston 29 years of age of Cumberland. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on August 9th, 2014 in the 400blk of N Centre St when Officers were dispatched for a report of a destruction of property. Witnesses stated that they observed a male subject later identified as Johnston break a flower pot and light fixture. Officers attempted to locate Johnston with negative results. The Officer then filed for charges through the District Court resulting in the summons being issued. Johnston was served the summons charging him with one count of Destruction of Property and released pending trial in District Court.
