CDS Arrest
On 09/17/14 during the early evening hours, Cumberland City Police officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Arch Street when a citizen reported that a suspicious vehicle was in the area possibly involved in a CDS transaction. Officers arrived on the scene and located the identified vehicle and spoke with 4 occupants. During the investigation officers discovered that there were problems with the registration on the vehicle. Officers interviewed the person responsible for the vehicle who was identified as Antonio Rodney, 32, of Hagerstown Maryland. The investigation led to a search of the vehicle and Rodney’s person, and as a result, suspected crack cocaine and a pipe used to smoke crack cocaine were recovered. As a result Rodney was placed under arrest and charged with the following:
Possession of CDS not Marijuana – 1 count
Possession of CDS paraphernalia – 1 count
Rodney was taken for a bond hearing at District Court and held on a $2,500.00 bond. Rodney was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center to await a bond review.
