WARRANT SERVICE
On Monday January 25, 2016, Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Dana Logsdon, age 26 of Cumberland, Maryland. On Sunday January 24, 2016, at 3:30 am, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Centre at Knox Street for an alarm call. Upon arrival officers observed that the business was broken into as they found shattered glass from a door. A check of the premises was conducted and it was revealed that a quantity of merchandise was taken. A purse was found by the entry point which belonged to Logsdon. A check of video surveillance cameras confirmed Logsdon was inside the store but had left prior to officer’s arrival. Logsdon was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond review. Logsdon was held on a $5,000.00 dollar bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

CHARGES: Burglary 2nd Degree, Burglary 4th Degree (2 counts), Theft less than $100.00, Malicious Destruction of Property.

Criminal Summons for Theft
On January 25, 2015 the Cumberland Police served a criminal summons on Charles Bret Parker and Hilary Dawn Nixon. Both were charged with Theft: $1000 to under $10,000. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on December 18, 2014 when the Cumberland Police responded to a residence on Baltimore Avenue for a report of a theft. Investigation revealed a custom made bench was stolen from outside the residence. Police asked the public for assistance with any information about the case. As a result of the request, several days later Cumberland Police received information the bench may be at a residence on Virginia Avenue. Police responded and located the bench inside the residence. The bench was recovered and given back to the owner. As a result of the investigation, Parker and Nixon were charged with theft. Parker and Nixon were served the summons and released pending a trial date in District Court.
