Plans are underway for the 2017 Mineral County Day at the Legislature, and a set of main priorities will be presented to the state office officials during the Feb. 8 event.
Following several planning committee sessions dealing with what will be placed at the top of the list of importance, members agreed that the North/South Corridor Project would be placed as No. 1, followed by the access from Route 220 to Carpendale, and available broadband access to county residents. Among the happenings while at Charleston, a breakfast will be served to legislators and special guests on the morning of Mineral County Day in the upper rotunda of the State Capitol, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Also in the upper rotunda, displays will be featured showing what Mineral County has to offer by way of the municipalities, businesses and higher education.
