UPDATED 7:00 AM – Reports from the scene indicate the person is now safe.

INITIAL REPORT 6:15 AM – Emergency crews have been summoned to help an individual who is apparently stuck on a small island of the Potomac River between Keyser and McCoole.

Allegany County 911 alerted us about the situation around 6 AM.

Of course, with all of the rain, the level of the Potomac is up.
