While the majority of those who have provided input to the Cumberland Mayor and City Council on the proposed FY 2018 budget have strongly opposed a tax hike- one man this week said not only does he support the increase, he says it’s long overdue. The city council held a town hall meeting in April and has held several public hearings on the budget in the past month. A planned 9.7% tax hike has left many citizens complaining- but Dr. Tom Hawk says he would much prefer to pay additional taxes in order to salvage important city services…
