On June 17, 2019 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the Allegany Medical Marijuana Dispensary located at 100 Beall Street for a breaking and entering complaint. Upon the officers arrival they made contact with the owner and office manager. Officers were advised that on today’s date at approximately 10:00 AM, a white male suspect wearing camo cargo shorts, a white t-shirt and headlamp approached the dispensary walking from Greene Street. Officers were advised that the dispensary was closed on this day as this day is used for maintenance and record keeping. The suspect entered the second floor apartment where he removed a watch valued at $1,200. The suspect walked to the third floor where he entered a second apartment where he was confronted by a tenant. The suspects was observed leaving the third floor and later observed inside the main lobby. After searching through several cabinets the suspect was confronted by a maintenance man before he fled the area on foot. With the assistance of a screen shot that was posted on social media the suspect was quickly identified as, David Richard McMillan.
On June 18, 2019 an officer was on patrol in the downtown area when he observed a white male matching the description from the screen shot that was placed on social media. The officer identified the subject as David Richard McMillan. Based on the surveillance video of the suspect as well as the information obtained from social media, David McMillan was placed under arrest. During a search of McMillan, officers located the stolen watch belonging to the store owner. McMillan was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. McMillan was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner. McMillan was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.

Charges: 2 counts of 1st degree burglary, 2nd degree burglary and theft $1,000 to under $10,000.
