Cumberland Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Franklin Street and Columbia Avenue for a report of a male and female subject arguing.
Upon their arrival they were able to contact the male subject who was arguing with the female on the phone. The officer was able to talk with her on the phone telling her to return the male subjects vehicle to his residence and to not return to the Franklin Street area. She was also told to not create any further disturbances for the night.
A short time later police were called back to the area for the two creating a disturbance again by arguing. Once on scene again the officers made contact with the male. At this time the female identified as 28 year old Sarah Whiteman began walking down the sidewalk toward the officers and male subject. She was yelling creating a disturbance waking the neighbors up. She was advised several times to stop yelling but continued.
Whiteman was placed under arrest and transported to PH where she was charged with Failing to Obey.
