Gov. Larry Hogan on Friday officially appointed former city councilman Nick Mosby to fill the House of Delegates seat vacated by now-Sen. Barbara Robinson.
Mosby was recommended by the Baltimore City Democratic Central Committee to represent District 40. The earlier nomination of Gary Brown Jr., a former aide to Mayor Catherine Pugh, was scuttled just before his swearing-in earlier this month when Brown was charged with sidestepping state campaign contribution limits.
“I am confident that Nick Mosby is prepared to serve his constituency in the House of Delegates,” Hogan said. “I offer him my sincere congratulations, and look forward to having the opportunity to work with him during the legislative session to change Maryland for the better.”
