The first baby born in 2019 at WMHS arrived bright and early on January 1. Silas Michael Calhoun was delivered at 3:38 a.m. on New Year’s Day. He was born weighing 7 pounds, 6 ounces and measuring 18 and a half inches long. Proud parents Cody and Janae Calhoun of Cumberland said both mom and baby are doing great. Though Silas was due on January 5, he decided to come early, so the couple arrived at WMHS on Monday afternoon. “We weren’t sure if he’d be a New Year’s Eve baby or a New Year’s Day baby,” Cody said. “Either way we knew we’d have a big party for him every year.”
