Newly released results show Maryland students are making slight academic gains on the annual Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers test. Maryland seventh-grade students scoring a four or five on the English portion of the exam increased by more than three points to 42.9 percent. There was also progress made in math scores. The number of high school students scoring a four or five on the geometry portion of the test jumped nine points to 47.8 percent.
