The latest cost analysis for the new Allegany High School will allow for the inclusion of the auditorium- while still keeping the project under budget. When estimates last year exceeded the preliminary budget for the project- there were concerns that the new school would have to be completed with no auditorium. In addition, athletic fields and courts on one classroom bay would have to be eliminated from the plans. However, by realizing a savings of about $2.5 million in the demolition phase- the auditorium is now back in the plans. Board president Laurie Marchini.
