THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR FLASH FREEZING AND FREEZING RAIN...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST TODAY. * LOCATIONS...SOUTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA...EASTERN OHIO...NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA...AND EXTREME WESTERN MARYLAND. * ICE ACCUMULATIONS...A LIGHT GLAZE IN ADDITION TO RE-FREEZING OF RESIDUAL MOISTURE ON ROADWAYS. * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO 1 INCH COULD OCCUR ON THE BACK EDGE OF THE PRECIPITATION THIS MORNING. * TIMING...FREEZING RAIN WILL OCCUR BRIEFLY THIS MORNING...BUT SURFACE TEMPERATURES WILL DROP THROUGH THE DAY.
