More Than Thirty Arrests Made in Latest Sweeping Initiative

More than 30 arrests were made as part of the most  recent Arrest Warrant Initiative  conducted by the Cumberland Police Department under the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (formerly Safe Streets) Program. The Warrant Initiative began Monday, December 10, and concluded Friday, December 14. This MCIN Initiative resulted in the arrest of 35 individuals on active arrest warrants, with a total of 42 arrest warrants being served.   Program coordinator, former Allegany County Sheriff David Goad says the goal continues to be making local streets safer through the reduction of open arrest warrants.
