Former Governor Martin O'Malley's gasoline tax wasn't well received, but with new information available on the actual points of the legislation, costs will only increase and money generated won't be distributed evenly. Allegany County Commissioner Bill Valentine was a guest on the Dave Norman Show and commented on the increases of the tax in terms of the calendar year:

Valentine also illuminated how the revenue generated will be distributed amongst the state of Maryland, and that with the lack of thought for the entire state, the idea of 'One Maryland' is just that- an idea:
