During its recent meeting, the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission voted to approve licenses for three more dispensaries, bringing the number of such licensed companies to nine.
 

The companies are Growing Ventures LLC, GTI Maryland LLC (dba Rise Silver Spring) and Maryland Wellness Access (dba Remedy Columbia). They were approved on the Commission’s teleconference meeting on Nov. 20.
 

“As the Commission works to grant approval to qualified companies, we are looking forward to seeing them start selling their medicinal products to the patients in Maryland who have been waiting for this,” said Brian P. Lopez, chairman of the commission.
 

The Commission expects licensed companies will begin to bring their products to market early next month but says to expect relatively low inventories for the first few months of operation. For information on license statuses of companies in Maryland, visit https://goo.gl/ajsPiZ.
